Big five by Tanzania Safari Experts

Day 1: Departure from the client's hotel in Dar es Salaam and the road to Mikumi (~6h). On the way, you can observe beautiful natural views, buy local fruits, as well as observe the color of the highway, because the road is a busy international highway with intense traffic, connecting the port of Dar es Salaam and areas in the west of the country, as well as economic and financial centers in neighboring countries. Lunch is included on the way. Arrival in the park and settling in the park cottage. In the afternoon, game watching from a 4x4 safari jeep, or as the locals say - a game drive in Mikumi National Park. Dinner is in the park's cottage settlement. An opportunity to enjoy the wild nature in the evening, sitting by the fire in the park. Overnight stay at a cottage in Mikumi National Park.

Day 2: The traveler wakes up in the park, so the morning starts according to the client's wishes: you can go to the savannah with coffee in a thermos mug at 6:00 a.m., and wake up together with nature; you can sleep longer and go on a game drive later. All day is spent in the park. Meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner - in the park cottage settlement. Overnight stay in a cottage in Mikumi Park.

Day 3: Game drive until lunchtime (the time of departure from the park depends on the time of entry: 24-hour interval, counting from the moment of entry into the park). Road to Dar es Salaam. Included meals: breakfast, lunch. Arrival in Dar es Salaam in the evening and transfer to the client's hotel (or airport or ferry port).

Useful information on practical questions

Why choose us

Juris Smaļinskis, traveler and nature researcher:

Roman is an excellent guide to African nature. He is well-acquainted with African wildlife—animals, birds—and knows the national parks well. He is reliable and, in every way, an important support both in urban environments and in nature. If you haven't seen the big African animals, then Mikumi is the right place. There you can truly see them in their natural habitat.
I highly recommend it!

Katrina Karele, traveler and digital content creator

From the moment we stepped out of the airport, we were greeted warmly, and we didn't have to worry about a single thing for the rest of the trip. And it wasn't just the paradise of animals—the experience was made even better by Roman's commentary and fascinating facts about the wildlife. We highly recommend visiting Tanzania and doing so under Roman's guidance—absolutely safe and unforgettable!

Maris Pukitis, editor, journalist and nature photographer

I have traveled with Roman through Mikumi, Selous, and Ruaha parks, and I can only say the best about him, both as a driver and a guide.  Roman will show you not only lions and elephants but also Dar es Salaam, including places that tourists usually don't get to see. Everything depends on your preferences—Roman will take care of your comfort and safety.
